Taking Steps Together with Steps

At nine months old, my daughter GiGi was referred to Steps for Physical and Occupational Therapy. GiGi was diagnosed with failure to thrive and had not met her milestones since she was one month old.

As a mom of two, GiGi being my second, I felt defeated by her lack of progress.

The Steps team worked together to provide our family with all the support, encouragement, education and flexibility needed to get GiGi where she is today. Services were provided in our home and at daycare.

In 5 months of therapy, GiGi learned to roll over, crawl, eat solid foods, use her fine motor skills, and now walk with braces. Suzy, her therapist, has been nothing short of a blessing and is a true advocate for child development. We now have the confidence and resources to better support GiGi at home and at daycare.
